Marija Majda Perišić was born in Split, Croatia, in 1991. She enrolled in the study of mathematics at the Faculty of Science - Department of Mathematics, the University of Zagreb in 2009. She graduated in 2014 with the specialisation in Applied Mathematics with the master thesis entitled "Bessel sequences and frames". Since 2015., she is employed at the Chair of Design and Product Development at UNIZAG-FSB as a research assistant on MInMED project. She currently participates in Croatian Science Foundation project "Team Adaptability for Innovation-Oriented Product Development – TAIDE".
In 2015. she enrolled in Postgraduate doctoral study at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing of the University of Zagreb. In 2020 she acquired the PhD Degree after having completed the dissertation titled "Multi-agent system for simulation of team behaviour in product development", supervised by Prof. Vedran Podobnik and Prof. Mario Štorga.
Her primary field of research and scientific focus is an agent-based simulation of information processing and interactions in teams developing technical systems.
Since 2016, she actively participates in the organisation of the DESIGN conference, a biennial event that regularly attracts more than 250 experts from more than 30 countries around the world.
