This paper describes the process of developing an automated cat feeder, with the first step being research of the market and customer needs in order to gain a better understanding of the product's operating principle and features. The development continues through generating multiple feeder concepts, which are further evaluated according to criteria set by customer needs. After selecting the best concept, all standard and non-standard components required for its production are defined, and a 3D model of the concept is created. The spatial arrangement of individual components is defined by creating a 3D model. The last step before production is the creation of technical documentation that precisely defines the assembly of individual components.
