Ida Midžić is currently employed as a software developer in the dSPACE engineering company in Zagreb.
Ida Midžić was born in Zadar, Croatia in 1985. She finished the Zagreb School of Applied Arts and Design, and graduated in mechanical engineering from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, University of Zagreb (FAMENA) in 2009. She specialized in Computer Aided Engineering and Computer Integrated Product Development. Her work on formal grammars in product development was awarded University of Zagreb Rector’s Award in academic year 2008/2009.
From 2009 to 2015 she was employed as a researcher and teaching assistant at the Chair of Design and Product Development (FAMENA).
Her obligations at the Chair included lecturing and teaching undergraduate and graduate mechanical engineering students, faculty courses Programming and algorithms, Computer Aided Design, Product Development and European Global Product Realization. She enrolled in postgraduate doctoral study at FAMENA, field of specialization Theory of Structures.
Her research is part of research projects Models and Methods of Knowledge Management in Product Development and Models and Methods of Innovation Management in Complex Engineering Systems Development supported by Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, Republic of Croatia and Croatian Science Foundation.
She participated in organization of International Design Conference – DESIGN from 2010 to 2016. She was a member of The Design Society.
She is fluent in English, and has basic skills in German language.
