Jelena Šklebar was born in 1992 in Koprivnica (Croatia). In 2011, she enrolled in mechanical engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture at the University of Zagreb. She obtained a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree in 2015.
In 2018 she graduated with a Master of Mechanical Engineering specialising in Product Design and Development at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture.
During the master study, she spent four months as an exchange student at Luleå University of Technology (Luleå, Sweden).
After graduating, she worked for STSI, a member of the INA Group as a junior maintenance specialist, and later as a designer in oil and gas exploration and production and refinery oil production.
She has been employed at the Department of Design and Product Development since January 2022.
