Due to the growing challenges in the execution of design projects, a multidisciplinary approach and cooperation between several companies are required, and they arise from the complexity of modern products. All larger and more complex teams participate in them, and it is necessary to choose a quality tool for managing such projects. In order to facilitate their management, an analysis and comparison of the tools is necessary before the actual selection. Analysis of the tool includes the selection of a sample project that would be implemented in reality. Tasks and subtasks are assigned to team members who solve them. The focus is on the review of paid ones, but free project management tools are also analyzed, identifying their application in different companies. Through the implementation of sample tasks within each tool, the functionality that these tools offer is explored. The sample project provides an insight into the features of the tool, followed by a table of functions and a commentary on those functions. This evaluation system facilitates the final selection, enabling easy decision-making about which tool best suits the needs for managing design projects of different companies. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of project management tools, tracking their functionality and adaptability within different contexts, offering a valuable resource for project managers and companies seeking effective solutions for managing complex design projects.
