Electric bicycles are becoming increasingly more popular and accessible, and their technology is continuously improving. With the growing number of electric bicycles on the roads, an opportunity has emerged for the development of a car-mounted carrier for electric bicycles that would also be capable of charging them using solar energy. This thesis will first define the technical specifications for the development of the carrier, followed by a methodical elaboration of various conceptual solutions. Based on the proposed concepts, a techno-economic analysis will be conducted to select the final carrier design. The selected solution will be developed using standard components along with the necessary calculations for non-standard parts. Furthermore, during the design process, attention must be given to the manufacturability of the components and user safety during use. A 3D computer model and technical documentation will be created for the carrier.
