In this work, the method of visualisation of complex networks is used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of the dynamics of the process of creating ideas during product development. The work analyses the brainstorming episodes involving groups of students and professionals, focusing at the same time on the activities, information transfer and sharing, and context of ideas occurring during the process. Applying statistical analysis of growth networks which are modelled based on the collected data, this work provides a deeper understanding of the complex interactions between the various components of ideation process over time.
