In this paper, market and patent research, functional decomposition, and the development of three circular saw concepts are presented. The best concept was selected based on predefined criteria, and the construction of the circular saw was demonstrated. The operating principle remains the same as in existing products, but the design is slightly simplified to meet the needs of the target customer group.
