The topic of this bachelor thesis is design and development of a waste press compactor – „worm press compactor“. A brief history of containers and waste management is described in this paper. Similar devices are listed and compared. The functional decomposition and morphological matrix were created as well as different solutions to the problem.The best solutions were further developed and standard parts were selected. 3D CAD model of the device was created and the associated technical documentation in the CATIA V5R20 software package.
