The topic of this bachelor thesis is design and development of a battery powered robot polishing machine. In the introduction the history of polishing devices is described as well as different types of polishing devices. Similar devices currently on the market are listed and compared. The functional decomposition and morphological matrix of the device where created. The best solutions where further elaborated and standard parts where selected. The 3D CAD model of the device and the associated technical documentation were created in the SolidWorks 2020 software package.
