The goal of this bachelor thesis is to design a log splitter powered by an electric motor. By examining existing solutions, the key characteristics that the splitter must meet were determined. Through functional decomposition, the main functions of the product were identified and assigned partial solutions, which were then used to generate two concepts. For the selected concept, the necessary components and the operation of the hydraulic system were described, followed by the selection of hydraulic system components. Finally, a calculation of the device's critical structural parts was carried out, and a corresponding 3D model with accompanying technical documentation was created.
