For the needs of the company Končar Mjerni transformatori, it is necessary to design a new machine for winding transformer cores. The mentioned machine should consist of a decoiler, a tensioning and guiding system to the winding mandrel, a sheet cutting mechanism, and a system for accepting finished cores. For the purpose of this master's thesis, an assembly of the winder was made, consisting of a load-bearing steel bracing structure, shaft on self-adjusting bearings driven by a geared motor, several fixed mandrels with insertion rings, corresponding to various required internal core diameters, and a system of adjustable arms for ejecting wound cores. In the introduction, the existing principles of design implementation are analysed and a brief market analysis is made. Furthermore, two conceptual solutions are offered, one of which is selected as optimal. The introduction is followed by a calculation of all of the components that the mechanism consists of. Finally, there is technical documentation that represents calculated construction. The models and technical documentation were created using the software package CREO Parametric.
