The issue of this paper is to conceptualise and develop a wheelchair lift designed for smaller passenger vehicles (vans). The main task of a wheelchair lift is to allow an individual in a wheelchair to enter and exit a vehicle. Analysis of the market and existing patent solutions resulted in design concepts, which have been evaluated. The concept with highest grades served as a base for further calculation and design development. Computer models and technical documentation were made in 3D CAD Software Solidworks.
