It is necessary to design a device for automatic non-destructive testing (using ultrasound) of the connection between the pipeline (referred to as NOZZLE) and the steam generator on the outer secondary side, "STEAM GENERATOR SECONDARY SIDE FEEDWATER NOZZLE," during plant maintenance activities to detect potential indications in the material at weld points and heat-affected zones.
The testing is conducted externally using a manipulator that moves in a circular path along fixed rails around the nozzle. The device must have the freedom of movement to ensure testing of four different segments of the nozzle.
