The research explore the possibility of predicting deviation in the behaviour of complex technical systems in relation to the system behaviour with predicted operating parameters. Unexpected (uncertain) behaviour of a system in a variable operating environment was modelled with: a technical system structure model and a technical system behaviour model. The system structure model is based on a DSM (Design Structure Matrix), matrix record of system components. System behaviour was modelled using a predictive control method. Bilateral data mapping between models enable system behaviour modelling in uncertain situations. Using an algorithm developed within the research and existing computing tools, research results were verified using real examples of complex technical systems.
