Damir Deković, unfortunately, left us too soon in 2011. He died at the age of 50.
Damir Deković (Zagreb, 1961 - Zagreb 2011) completed his secondary education at the High School for Mathematics and Computing in Zagreb. He enrolled in the study of mechanical engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture in 1980 and graduated in 1995 with the specialisation in engineering design. From 1990 to 1995 he worked in the Laboratory for the Theory of Design at FAMENA in Zagreb as a laboratory technician.
Since his graduation until 2011. he was working in the position of professional associate in the same laboratory. In 1995 he enrolled in the postgraduate study at FAMENA in the field of specialisation Theory of Design.
He was involved in teaching activities as a part-time assistant lecturer in charge of exercises in the courses Basics of Computer Applications and Computer Aided Design at the Study of Design (Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb), and at and the Study of Computer Science (Informatics) at the Polytechnics of Zagreb.
He took an active part in the organisation of international scientific conferences DESIGN. He was a member of the international association The Design Society.
He authored 6 scientific and 9 professional papers published in Croatia and abroad.
