The subject of this thesis is the conception and construction of a device for cleaning hazelnuts, i.e., a separating shell with core from the rest of the plant mass – husk. The introduction of the thesis begins with a consideration of needs for such a device. Following step is research of the database of patents and already existing devices in order to gain insight into the solutions of individual functions. Three different concepts were created one of which has been selected and elaborated. The parameters required for hazelnuts husking have been determined, a CAD model of the device has been developed and calculations of the basic parts have been made.
